Christopher Leigh Gandee of Red Oak, Oklahoma died Sunday, May 14, 2017 in Pittsburg, Oklahoma at the age of 26.

 

Chris was born July 29, 1990 in Richmond, Virginia to Alfred Gandee and Amy (Rains) Gandee.

 

He is survived by his parents, Fred and Jenny Gandee of Hoot Owl Hollow; siblings, Jake, Logan and Gracie; step-sister, Angel Childs; grandparents, Shirley Gandee of Red Oak and Steve and Lena Moore of Hoot Owl Hollow; step-father, Ron Childs of Ft. Smith; great grandmother, LaVern Blankenship of Red Oak; great grandfather Julian Brannon of Talihina and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and a host of friends.

 

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Amy (Rains) Gandee Childs; grandfather, Alfred Gandee; great grandfather, Donald Blankenship; great grandmother, Roberta Pauline “Gammy” Brannon; great grandparents, Kenneth Gandee and Jean Minear and Connie and Genna Vee Elwood; and cousins, Kevin “Bub” Vaden.

 

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Elwood Family Cemetery, Hoot Owl Hollow Community, Oklahoma with Rev. Johnny Montgomery officiating.

 

Pallbearers will be: Jake Watts, Jon Watts, Jackie Dobbs, Nick Bryce, Ben Shipman and Trevan Ward.

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Cody Selman, Cody Cripps, Ashton Cripps, Adian Christopher, Ethan Hill and Rusty Meeks.

 

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Harkins Funeral Home.
