Martha Sue (Stout) Phillips Obituary Featured

Martha Sue (Stout) Phillips was born April 4, 1934 in Braden, Oklahoma to Earnest Sr, and Norah (Tedder) Stout, and passed away September 25, 2018 in Spiro, Oklahoma at the age of 84.

 

Susie is survived by her daughter; Jacquelyn Sue (Schuster) Knobelsdorff and husband Jimmy Dale of Spiro, Oklahoma, son-in-law; Manuel Swift of Spiro, Oklahoma, sister; Mary L. (Stout) Clark and husband Bill of Spiro, Oklahoma, sisters-in-law; Laura Stout and Patsy Stout, brother; Dale Stout and wife Wanda of Spiro, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Heather (Swift) Richison and husband Shawn, Jesse Knobelsdorff, Dana Knobelsdorff, great grandchildren; Raegan and Kaysen Sites, Jana, Ryan, and Reed Richison, Caleb, Julie, Myla, Autumn, and Kaston Knobelsdorff and Chloe Sevier.

 

Susie was preceded in death by her parents; Earnest, Sr. and Norah (Tedder) Stout, daughter; Gwendolyn (Schuster) Swift, husbands, Ray Dean Phillips and Bobby Joe Schuster, sister; Margaret (Stout) Smith, brothers; Ed, Ernest, JR., Charles and George (Bud) Stout.

 

She was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church.

 

She loved to sew in her younger years and loved to cook for everyone, and was always concerned whether you had eaten or not.

 

She visited nursing homes and hospitals and passed out Salvation tracts, never meeting a stranger. She was kind, loving, giving, and a little bit ornery. She was also known as the card lady, if she had your address you would be receiving a card.

 

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday at Lakeview Baptist Church in Spiro, Oklahoma with Mister Marty Darneal and Reverend Sid Ree officiating Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.

 

Pallbearers will be Jim Ed Stout, Eddie Stout, Chuck Stout, Mark Stout, Doug Clark, and Jesse Knobelsdorff.

 

Viewing hours will be Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 9am- 7pm, Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 9 am- 7 pm.

 

Family will visit with friends Thursday from 5pm – 7pm.
