Ocie (Eatmon) Hale Obituary Featured

Ocie (Eatmon) Hale, of Spiro, Oklahoma, was born October 4, 1940 in Buckcreek, Oklahoma to John and Annie Dell (Anderson) Eatmon and passed away April 5, 2018 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 77.


She is survived by her sons, Rick Hale (Melinda) of Pocola, Oklahoma, Perry Hale of Spiro, Oklahoma, Phillip Lowery of Spiro, Oklahoma, daughters, Darla Martin (Jamie) of Anderson, Missouri, Carla Hale of Chicago, Illinois, and Charlie Hale of Fort Smith, Arkansas, eleven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.


Ocie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Darvin Hale, grandson, Evan O'Brien, her parents, John and Annie Dell Eatmon, her sisters, Opal Bower, Tempie Bea Pedra, Lucille Jackson, and one brother, Jerry Eatmon.


She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Ocie was a feisty woman who touched people’s hearts. She loved her flowers, hiking, and sightseeing. She went out of her way to comfort everyone who needed help, from family to strangers.


Family will visit with friends on Saturday April 7, 2018 from 12:30 -2:00.


Funeral Services will be 2pm Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dennis Henderson officiating.


Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Panama, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.


Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ricky Hale, Lee Chaney, Sean O'Brien, Aaron Hale, Mark Forrester, and Preston Garrett.
