Reba Gene Burrow Connelly, of Fayetteville, AR (formerly of Hope, AR and Poteau, OK), died August 8, 2019. Reba was born December 11, 1927 in Hill Town, OK to John Leamon & Mary Esta (Chaney) Burrow.

After marrying James William Connelly in 1947 she worked as a bookkeeper, secretary and homemaker.

A long time resident of Hope, AR, Reba was an active member of First Baptist Church, the Hospital Auxiliary and Homemakers Club.

Reba was an excellent seamstress and made everything from suits to wedding gowns.

She loved gardening as well, but invested most of her time in the lives of her family.

Her greatest gift to her family and friends was her strong faith in God and love for Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years; her parents; five brothers; her son in law, Walter Allison and grandson, Kyle Allison.

Survivors include her children, Debbie Allison of Conway, AR, Donna & Mel Blackwood of Fayetteville, AR, Ed & Cissy Connelly of Greenville, NC and Kim & Mike North of Searcy, AR; grandchildren include Kara & Rob Bell, Kalyn Evans, Clint Blackwood, Mandy & Kirk Starr, Jim & Amanda Connelly, Christian Connelly, Ayden North and Landon North. Reba has six great grandchildren who were blessed to have known her. She also leaves behind her sister Leta Burrow Underwood of Ft. Smith, AR and brother Milburn Burrow of Enid, OK; many nieces, nephews and friends throughout the United States.

The last six months of Reba’s life were spent at Seeds of Love in Greenbrier, AR. Words can’t begin to express our deep appreciation for the love and care she received while there. She often told us to be sure and thank the special friends and caregivers for taking such good care of her.

The family will visit with friends and relatives at 12:30pm prior to the Service at 1 pm, Monday, August 12, 2019 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Brother James Hays of Valley Baptist Church in Searcy, AR officiating.

Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Seeds of Love, 12 Primrose Ln, Greenbrier, AR 72058 or Renewal Ranch, PO Box 11128, Conway, AR 72034.
