Theresa Redwine Obituary Featured

Theresa Redwine of Spiro, Oklahoma passed away peacefully Monday, August 7, 2017.


She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend of many.


She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on November 22, 1970 and is survived by her husband of 27 years John Redwine III, one daughter Megan Redwine, her mother Leona Hadwin, her sister Melissa Robinson and husband Gary, a niece, Ashton Stewart, and a nephew, Gunner Stewart.


Theresa was a graduate of Spiro High School where she attended since Kindergarten. She began teaching at Spiro schools in 1993 and taught her entire career there.


Theresa loved and served the Lord, whether it be by teaching Sunday School, VBS, or by helping high school students learn algebra, trigonometry, and calculus, Theresa was always there helping and serving.


She was a gifted teacher and education was a huge part of her life. She loved her students and served as Senior Sponsor for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Smith.


Theresa enjoyed gardening and especially liked roses; she loved to travel with her family, which usually meant National Parks and hiking. She was also an avid reader.


Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday, August 9th at the First Baptist Church in Spiro, Oklahoma with Reverend Buel Lewallen officiating.


In order to respect Theresa’s wishes there will be no viewing or visitation and private burial services will be held at Spiro City Cemetery prior to the funeral service.
