OSU rises one spot in both the AP and USA Today Coaches polls

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team achieved its highest national ranking of the season Sunday, as the Cowboys were voted No. 4 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls.
OSU climbed one spot in each poll after defeating Iowa State in Ames Saturday. With the win, the Cowboys improved to 10-0 for just the second time in program history.

At No. 4, this marks the Cowboys' highest national ranking since 2011, when Oklahoma State ended the season at No. 3 after defeating Stanford in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. It also marks the 16th time in school history that OSU has achieved a top-five ranking, 12 of which have come under head coach Mike Gundy.

OSU is now the highest ranked squad in the Big 12, with Oklahoma (No. 7/7), Baylor (No. 10/10) and TCU (No. 11/11) also representing the conference in the polls.

The Cowboys look to extend their undefeated campaign next weekend, as Oklahoma State hosts No. 10 Baylor Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on FOX.
