39th Annual Miss Carl Albert State College Competition Featured

The 39thAnnual Miss Carl Albert State College Competition is set for Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 7 p.m. in the Hamilton Auditorium on the main Poteau campus.

Tickets for the competition are available for purchase in the CASC Poteau Bookstore. General admission tickets are $10 each, or $5 each for CASC Students, Faculty & Staff members.

The candidates will compete in five areas of competition: private interview, swimsuit, individual talent, evening wear and on-stage question. During the competition, each candidate will also discuss her chosen Social Impact Issue, which is her chosen platform of a social or community issue that is a concern to herself and our society at large.

The winner of the Miss CASC Competition will be awarded a full tuition waiver to CASC, and $1,000 cash to be used toward her expenses at the Miss Oklahoma Competition. Other awards will be available to runners-up and special awards such as Talent, Crowd Pleaser, and Miss Congeniality.

Miss CASC 2019 will go on to compete in the Miss Oklahoma Competition in June 2019.

The 2019 Miss CASC Contestants are:

Emily Mason, sophomore, majoring in Child Development; Social Impact: Mental Health Awareness; Vocal performance of "Love Look Away."

Madeline Humphries, freshman, majoring in Science; Social Impact: Keeping Fine Arts in Public School; Vocal performance of “Skyfall.”

Larissa Deaton, sophomore, majoring in Allied Health; Social Impact: Overcoming Anxiety; Vocal Performance of "The Break Up Song."

Claudia Jones, freshman, majoring in Biology and attending the Sallisaw Campus; Social Impact: Forgetting our Unforgettable; Patriotic Monologue "Remember Me."

Curtsie Pace, freshman, majoring in Psychology; Social Impact: Domestic Violence; Jazz Dance performance to "We Go Together."
