Carl Albert State College Recognizing Native American Heritage Month at the Sallisaw Campus Featured

November is Native American Heritage month, and Carl Albert State College has planned special recognitions at the Sallisaw campus.


On Monday, November 13, 2017 a presentation by Cartographer Aaron Carapella will be at 2 p.m. in the Stites Room on the CASC Sallisaw campus. Mr. Carapella’s program is “Maps of the Past.”


Tim Grayson will be at CASC Sallisaw on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at noon. He is a Cherokee National Treasure who's expertise lies in Bow making, flint knapping, and blow guns. He has traveled all over the US and worked at the Cherokee Heritage Center in the Diligwa Cherokee Village living exhibit.


CASC students, employees and community members are encouraged to make time to attend both events.
