40/29 Get Ready Weather Prepares Pilots for Flights


FORT SMITH, AR (October 10, 2019) – Channel 40 celebrates local community by proudly partnering with the Poteau Balloon Fest. 40/29 Get Ready Weather will serve as the “Official Weather Forecaster” for the event at the Le Flore County Fair Grounds on Oct. 18-19.

“Hot air balloons are highly dependent on weather conditions,” 40/29 Chief Meteorologist Darby Bybee said. “And our experienced team of meteorologists is very excited to get pilots ready for the family fun.”


According to festival organizers, balloon flights are wind and weather permitting. Guests may also enjoy carnival rides, ATV/UTV races, and the Pumpkin Mud Run and Belly Flop.
