Play days consist of barrel racing, pole bending, stakes, rings, and flags. About a dozen clubs compete in hopes of going to State Playday finals at the end of the Playday season.

Each club that belongs to the Oklahoma State Round-up Club Association (OSRCA) has a chance to compete at state level.

The Finals for 2018 were held at the end of September.

Wister teacher Kari Clingan attended and competed in her age group, SR Women.

The finals consisted of 2 rounds, 2 different weekends. The first round was in El Reno and the 2nd was in Tecumseh. She won the poles and barrels both weekends.

Clingan told said, “I came up short on points to win the saddle but did win 2 beautiful buckles and a set of lightweight, metal panels for coming in 2nd in my group. I hope to compete again this year.”
