Fatal Accident in Haskell County Featured

On May 16, 2017 at approximately 5:35 pm the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were called to the scene of a fatality collision that occurred on State Highway 9.


The accident was 1.5 miles East of Keota, in Haskell County.

 

According to the report, a 2015 Chevrolet Captiva driven by Jeffrey Peevyhouse 50, of Stigler, was eastbound on SH9 and a 2005 Freightliner driven by Joseph Newhauser III, 51, of Campbellsport, Wisconsin, was traveling westbound when Peevyhouse crossed center line and struck the semi.


Peevyhouse was pronounced deceased at the scene from the injuries sustained in the accident.

 

The accident was investigated by Investigated OHP, Haskell County Sheriff’s Department, Keota Police Department and Keota Fire and Rescue.
