Grady Jackson, son of Justin and Janissa Jackson and a sixth grader at Pansy Kidd Middle School, competed last weekend at the CINCH Timed Event Chuck Wagon Youth Cook-Off.

This event was part of a larger chuck wagon competition that took place at the Lazy-E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

The youth cook-off was for students ages seventeen and under and featured kids from all over the region.

Each participant was expected to make a dessert using cherries and cook it over the coals using a Dutch oven in true chuck wagon form.

Grady beat out the competition and brought home first prize with his Cherry Cobbler.

He also served as a crew member with his fathers Horse Pen Ranch Chuckwagon which brought home fifth place overall for the weekend events.

There were a total of twelve chuckwagon teams competing.

Congratulations Grady!
