Kiamichi Tech’s Practical Nursing Program Graduates Outstanding Class Featured

Poteau, Okla. – On Thursday, June 6, 2019, eighteen dedicated students will be graduating from Kiamichi Technology Center’s Practical Nursing program. The ceremony will be held in KTC’s Seminar Center at 1509 South McKenna in Poteau, Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m. This year’s graduating class would like to thank the following clinical facilities for their support: Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center, Heavener Nursing Home, The Oaks Healthcare Center, Heart of Hospice, Poteau Dialysis Center, Poteau Family Medical, Rubin White Clinic, Dewey Medical Center, Mountain Gateway Senior Health, Choctaw Nation Health Services, Pocola Health & Rehab, and Mercy Health Clinics.


“We are proud of our Practical Nursing graduates. They have worked hard to achieve this goal and we wish them the best as they prepare to join the workforce,” said Michael Culwell, Poteau Campus Director.


According to Kiamichi Technology Center has the top Practical Nursing programs in the state of Oklahoma. The Poteau Campus has a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Licensed Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).


Kiamichi Technology Centers has played an integral role in southeastern Oklahoma communities since 1968, serving ten full and three partial counties. KTC is one of 29 districts in the Oklahoma CareerTech system with more than 30 career programs. KTC also offers a wide variety of evening and weekend short-term courses as well as certifications in many diverse career fields. KTC serves nearly 23,000 individuals each year, including many area companies who receive training through the Business and Industry Services division that works with over 400 businesses annually.
