Press release

Angela Shaw, an EAST student at Kiamichi Technology Center in Poteau, was selected as a finalist in the national EAST Conference “Picture This” Photography Competition. Her entry entitled “Clustered Feelings” was chosen as one of three photos eligible for the top prize. The winner will be announced at the EAST Conference Awards Gala on March 13th, where over 3,000 students will be attending. Angela is a senior at Arkoma High School and has been in EAST for two years.

“The inspiration for this photo honestly came from what I was feeling that day. I was overwhelmed with emotions and everything was clustered together. When I saw the rocks crowded together, I just thought about how cramped it felt when no one is there to help lift you up and be better.” - Angela Shaw
