Local students participate in Eastern Oklahoma Spelling Bee Featured

The Eastern Oklahoma State Spelling Bee was held on April 6, 2018 at the Convention Center in Muskogee.


There were 203 students from 36 Eastern Oklahoma counties who competed in the Spelling Bee.

 

LeFlore County Students participating in the Spelling were:


Cameron Public Schools – Jazmin Fernandez and Jounri Fox


Hodgen Public School – Brody Cheshier and Sadie Thornhill


Monroe Public School – Jailee Romines and Jorge Martinez


Pansy Kidd Middle School – Shelby Zink and Jessica Billings


Pocola Public School – Rylan Waddell and Alli Lomon


Poteau Upper Elementary - Hudson Burdick and Pierce Ballard


Shady Point Public School – Jenson Rogers and Psalm Yandell


Spiro Middle School – Blake Dedmon and Ashlyn Perry


Wister Public School – Zoe Moreno and Brysta Shatswell

The mission of the Eastern Oklahoma State Spelling Bee is to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will assist them all their lives.
