Miss WHS 2019

Triniti Scott, daughter of Teresa Percifield was crowned Miss Wister High School on Saturday, Dec 1, 2018. She received a $1000 per year for 2 years scholarship waiver from CASC and a $800 scholarship from Wister NHS as well as a $100 gift certificate from Purple Plume. Scott is president of the National Honor Society, a varsity cheerleader and is involved in HOSA .


Kendal Stinson, daughter of Scott and Andrea Stinson was crowned first runner- up. She received a two-year $750 scholarship waiver from CASC and a $400 from Wister NHS as well as a $50 from Purple Plume. Stinson is a member of NHS, FCCLA, cheer and choir.


Koutney Donaho, daughter of Michelle and Jake Donaho was crowned second runner-up. She received a $50 gift certificate from Purple Plume.


Brooklyn Duncan, daughter of Bjoe Duncan and Stacie Doria was crowned third runner-up and Kandy Ruiz, daughter of Ricardo and Gloria Ruiz was crowned fourth runner-up. Both Brooklyn and Kandy received Jazzy Jewels gift certificates.


Deedra McMillin, Wister teacher and coordinator of the pageant, thanked the businesses who supported the Miss WHS pageant this year. “We’re excited we have these businesses and a lot of different people who make this thing a success and the girls get some nice prizes.” She also thanked everyone who bought ads in the program book. The pageant helps fund NHS community service projects such as the holiday food baskets.


This year is the fifth year Wister’s NHS has hosted the pageant and the year with the most contestants to date. Other contestants who participated in the pageant were Ashlyn Mundy, Emerald Clark, Erica Blaylock, Chayla Huggins, Shasta Mortenson, Tori Stockton, Trinity Rodgers, Maycee Pendley and Celest Salvador.
