It's kind of like a more grown up "show and tell".

Once each quarter this school year, Darla Davis's 7th and 8th grade classes at Monroe School have participated in a "Demo Day" to tell and demonstrate to their classmates a skill or interest they each have.

Each time these students make their presentations, every one of them have something new or interesting to share.

This quarter the share day fell on February 7.

The class was shown many things including how to make a fishing pole from a pencil, how to peel a "cutie" without making a mess, how to read Roman Numerals, the correct way to lace up and tie both an ankle brace and a basketball shoe, as well as step by step instructions on how to draw several different characters and animals.

The class was given directions on using your feet to crush cans, making slime, using a Cricut machine, as well as a self-defense move capable of breaking a wrist.

These are some of the creative things Mrs. Davis's students showed during this "Demo Day".

Hopefully once the weather warms up, the students can demonstrate some outdoor activities.
