Oktaha Man Life-flighted from injuries he received from crash in Latimer County Featured

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol an Oktaha man was transported by air to a Tulsa hospital from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.


The accident occurred on January 5, 2017 at approximately 7:21pm on State Highway One at Damon Valley Rd, approximately 8 miles south and 8 miles west of Wilburton in Latimer County.

 

According to the report, Jay Smith, 20 from Oktaha was driving a 2016 Infinity 2 door was eastbound on SH1, the vehicle then departed the road to right, entered a broad slide, re-entered the road then rolled unknown number of times before coming to rest on its wheels.

 

Smith was transported by Tulsa Life Flight to St Francis Hospital in Tulsa he was listed in stable condition with head and trunk internal injuries.

 

The accident was investigated by OHP, the y The Latimer County Sheriff’s Department and The Veteran’s Colony Fire Department.
