Panama man injured in wreck in Haskell County Featured

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident that occurred on May 17, 2017 at approximately 11:05 am on State Highway 9.

 


The accident occurred 1.5 miles West of Keota in Haskell County.

 

 

According to the report, a 1995 International six wheel dump truck leased to Haskell County, driven by Michael Coble 59, from Keota and a 2008 Dodge pickup, driven by Phillip Harris 68 from Panama, were both eastbound on SH9, when Harris attempted to pass the dump truck and another vehicle.

 


The dump truck began to turn left and struck the 2008 Dodge in the passenger’s side causing the Dodge to roll two times before coming to a rest and ejecting Harris.

 

 

Harris was transported by Southwest EMS to Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas where he was admitted with trunk internal injuries. He was listed in stable in condition.

 

 

The accident was Investigated by the OHP.
