Police Search for Missing Poteau Man Featured

According to the Poteau Police Department, they are searching for a Poteau man who has been missing since on June 17, 2017 around 5:30 am.

Shawn Carnahan, was last seen leaving his residents in his mother in laws vehicle.

On Sunday, at approximately 8:30 am the Poteau Police located the vehicle on Polk Creek Street.

According to the Poteau Police department, Carnahan was not with the vehicle and no report had been filed at that time, so the vehicle was logged as abandoned.

Later, after the report had been filed, Officers returned to the vehicle and found it to be operational.

The Poteau Police and the LeFlore County Sheriff's Office along with family members conducted a search if the area on Sunday with no sign of Carnahan.
