Ms. Rosemary McBee hosted her annual Manners Matter seminar for the Carl Albert State College freshman scholars on Tuesday, September 3, on the Poteau campus.

Rosemary, CASC’s most recent Hall of Fame inductee, has been sharing her etiquette expertise with each freshman scholar class at CASC for nearly twenty years.

Her timeless advice and knowledge helps to prepare the scholar students for their upcoming dinner banquet with their adopted scholar ‘parents,’ as well as for future business and formal functions.

Rosemary teaches the scholars the proper way to shake an acquaintance’s hand; how to comfortably network at business events; the importance of thank you note; how to formally introduce someone; the responsibilities of dinner hosts and guests; formal table setting, and so much more.

“Good manners never go out of style,” Rosemary said. “I know of numerous individuals who have, or have not, gotten their dream career all on the basis of their manners. It’s a privilege to be welcomed to campus each year to share my knowledge with CASC’s student leaders.”

CASC’s President Dr. Jay Falkner introduced Rosemary to the class and regarded her as an exceptional resource for CASC and a remarkable benefactor to the institution.

“Our students are incredibly fortunate to learn from community leaders like Mrs. Rosemary,” Dr. Falkner said. “The information she shares with our students will benefit them in their professional careers more than they can imagine. We are so thankful to have her with us each year.”
