Arkansas man injured in one vehicle accident in McCurtain County Featured

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, an injury collision occurred on October 1, 2017 on State Highway 3, approximately 2.8 miles east of Tom, in McCurtain County.


According to the report, a 2004 ford PK driven by Dois Burns 37, of Ashdown, Arkansas was traveling eastbound on SH3, ran off the roadway to the right, overcorrected, ran off the roadway to the left striking a tree. The impact broke the vehicle into two sections and the Burns was ejected approximately 5 feet from the vehicle.


He was transported by AirLife to St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas and was listed in stable condition with head and trunk internal injuries.

 

The accident was investigated by OHP, the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Dept., Tom Fire Dept and McCurtain County EMS.
