Drowning at Lake Tenkiller Featured

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol a drowning incident occurred on August 5, 2017 at about. 3:30pm on Tenkiller Lake, in the crappie point area of Tenkiller State Park, in Sequoyah County.

 

According to the report, Joshua D. Burch, 26, of Muskogee, was swimming approximately 125 feet off the shoreline near Crappie Point when, for unknown reason he went under water.


The victim’s body was recovered at 4:18 pm, 120 feet off the shoreline in 67 feet of water.

 

Investigated by the OHP Marine Enforcement Division.
