According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, on September 4, 2017, at approximately 10:30 pm, the Valliant Police Department was dispatched to a house at 104 S. Gardner Street on a report of a prowler.

An officer went inside the home to find Tamera Moore, 38, dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

Tamera’s ex-boyfriend Geoffrey Tyrone Briley 41, was inside the home and detained by responding officers.

The Valliant Police Department requested OSBI investigative assistance.

An agent arrived on scene and conducted numerous interviews.

After those interviews, Briley was arrested and booked into the McCurtain County jail for first degree murder.
