Man shot by authorities on Monday identified Featured

According to a press release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, a man shot Monday (Oct 8, 2018) by Canadian County deputies has been identified as 24 year old, Alexander Lindahl.

Lindahl was fatally shot by deputies after he crashed a stolen pickup, then produced a handgun when he exited the pickup.

Lindahl was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The incident occurred on U.S. Highway 81, just north of Okarche.

Lindahl led officers on a high-speed chase, with speeds reaching over 100 mph.

Lindahl has a lengthy criminal record.

OSBI assistance was requested with crime scene assistance after the incident.

OSBI is also investigating the shooting itself.

All reports will be turned over to the District Attorney’s office upon completion.
