McIntosh County has Highest unemployment rate Featured

According to a press release from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, in December, McIntosh County posted Oklahoma’s highest county unemployment rate of 7.4 percent.

Latimer County had the second highest rate for the month, while McCurtain County reported the state’s third highest rate.

Woods County claimed the lowest county unemployment rate of 2.0 percent followed by Alfalfa, Beaver, and Cimarron Counties.

LeFlore County unemployment rate is 5.4 percent.


Unemployment rates were lower than a year earlier in 75 of 77 counties.
