Press release

OHP troopers were involved in a pursuit Thursday morning that ended in two Ohio suspects’ vehicle crashing through a fence and into a utility pole in southeast Canadian County, critically injuring the driver.

The two suspects have been identified by Ohio authorities as Phillip Hohn-Tucker, 21, with a last known address of Elyria, Ohio, and Joshua Phillip Alexander Hohn, 19, with a last known address of Prescott, AZ. Joshua Hohn had been charged with murder in September, and Phillip Hohn-Tucker had been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, related to the same incident.

Ohio authorities had alerted OHP that the suspects were believed to be in the Oklahoma City area.

Troopers located the vehicle near I-240 and May Avenue in Oklahoma City at 10:45 a.m. The vehicle fled from troopers, initiating a pursuit that led law enforcement vehicles through parts of the OKC metro, ending up northbound on Cimarron Road. The two were in a gray 2007 Hyundai Sonata stolen from the murder victim in Ohio.

Joshua Hohn, the driver, lost control of the car and crashed just south of the intersection of SW 44th and Cimarron Road, where the car crashed at 11:22 a.m. He was transported by medical helicopter from the scene to an Oklahoma City hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The passenger, Phillip Hohn-Tucker, was transported by OHP troopers to an area hospital, where he was treated and released, then transported to the Oklahoma County jail, where he was processed with a hold for Ohio authorities.

A third suspect, Gloria Louise Watson, 18, of Prescott, AZ, is considered a person of interest in the murder case but was not in the vehicle at the time of the pursuit and crash. Ohio authorities believe she may be in the Tennessee area.

Detectives from Ohio will be coming to Oklahoma to assist OHP troopers in the processing of evidence as the investigation proceeds. Once the investigation is complete, the report will be turned over to the local District Attorney’s office to determine whether charges will be filed in Oklahoma.
