Two injured in accident near Holdenville Featured

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, at approximately 5:17pm on September 12, 2018, a Guthrie man was injured in an automobile accident that occurred on United States Highway 270 and a county road, approximately 1.2 miles west of Holdenville in Hughes County.

 

According to the OHP, 2006 Toyota SUV, driven by Kyle Boyster 21, from Guthrie and a 2008 Mack truck, driven by Joseph Freeze, 35, of Oklahoma City were both traveling eastbound on US 270 when Boyster was slowing to make a left-hand turn onto a county road and was struck in the rear by the Mack truck.


Boyster was pinned in his vehicle for approximately 10 minutes before being freed by the Holdenville Fire Department.

 

Boyster was transported Hughes County EMSs to Mercy Hospital in Ada and was listed in stable condition with multiple injuries.

 

His passenger, Savannah Miller, 22, from Oklahoma City was also transported by Hughes County EMS to Mercy Hospital in Ada and treated and released.

 

Freeze was not injured.
