What’s on the Sept 12 Special Election Ballot Featured

Voters in Pocola Public School District of LeFlore County will go to the polls on September 12, 2017 to vote for a Proposition


The ballot will read as follows:


Shall Independent School District Number 7 of LeFlore County Oklahoma, incur an indebtedness by issuing its bonds in the sum of Six Million Thirty Thousand Dollars ($6,030,000) to be issued in series to provide funds for the purpose of constructing, equipping, repairing and remodeling school buildings, acquiring school furniture, fixtures and equipment and acquiring and improving school sites, and levy and collect an annual tax, in addition to all other taxes, upon all the taxable property in such District sufficient to pay the interest on such bonds as it falls due and also to constitute a sinking fund for the payment of principal thereof when due, said bonds to bear interest not to exceed the rate of (10%) percentum per annum, payable semi-annually and to become due serially with (5) five years from their date?


Voters in the Town of Howe will go to the polls on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 to vote for Independent Municipal Officers for Board of Trustees (Unexpired Term)


Vote for either Holley Ann Gerdes or Keith Gammel.


Voters in the Poteau Public School District will go to the polls to vote fro a $22,930,000 Proposition – the Proposition reads on the ballot as follows:


Shall Independent School District Number 29, of LeFlore County, incur an indebtedness by issuing its bonds in the sum of Twenty Two Million Nine Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars($22,930,000) to be issued in series to provide funds for the purpose of constructing, equipping, repairing and remodeling school buildings, acquiring school furniture, fixtures and equipment and acquiring and improving school sites, and levy and collect an annual tax, in addition to property in such District sufficient to pay the interest on such bonds as it falls due and also to constitute a sinking fund for the payment of the principal thereof when due, said bonds to bear interest not exceed the rate of ten (10%) percentum per annum, payable semi-annually and to become due serially with five (5) years from their date?
