RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced its sixth Golfer of the Week awards for the spring season. Henderson State’s Taylor Loeb garnered the Women’s Player of the Week honor and Arkansas Tech’s Luke Cornett earned the Men’s Player of the Week accolade.


GAC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Taylor Loeb, Henderson State, So., Little Rock, Arkansas

Loeb finished third at the HSU Invitational, her best individual finish of the season. She posted her third-straight top-five result as the Reddies placed third, their third-straight top-three finish. She opened with a 1-under par 71 on and carded a 5-over 77 on Tuesday.


GAC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Luke Cornett, Arkansas Tech, Sr., Drasco, Arkansas

Cornett led the Wonder Boys to a fourth-place finish at the Argonaut Cup in Pensacola, Fla., their ninth consecutive top-five finish. Cornett placed third at the three-round event and closed by shooting a career-low 5-under 67 in the final round to record the third-lowest 54-hole individual score in Tech history. He finished ahead of 14 nationally-ranked competitors.



- Brittani Casement, Jr., Northwestern Oklahoma State (Tied for 16th at HSU Spring Invite; shot school-record 73 in first round)

- Brooklyn Terry, Jr., Harding (Posted her best 54-hole score at the Argonaut Invitational tied for 23rd)



- Kevin Boutier, Jr., Henderson State (Won the HSU Invitational by two shots, his first collegiate win; Reddies won team title)
