Oklahoma scored 49 unanswered points to post a 56-14 home win over Tulane. It was the Sooners’ nation-leading 13th straight victory. OU outgained the Green Wave 631 yards to 291.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield completed 17 of his 27 pass attempts for 331 yards and four touchdowns without an interception to improve to 25-4 as a starter at OU. Mayfield’s first two TD throws (82 and 22 yards) went to freshman CeeDee Lamb, who was ejected in the second quarter for targeting after making four grabs for 131 yards (third highest total by a freshman receiver). Mayfield also connected with Abdul Adams (20 yards) and Jordan Smallwood (11 yards) for their first career TD receptions. Marcelias Sutton (nine-yard run) and Marquise Brown (87-yard pass from Kyler Murray) accounted for OU’s other offensive scores.

Five of OU’s seven offensive touchdowns were scored by first-year Sooners.

Sophomore cornerback Parnell Motley recorded his second interception in two weeks, returning a pick 77 yards for a touchdown early in the second quarter to give OU a 21-14 lead. Motley also recorded a tackle for loss (minus four yards) and finished with four tackles. Ogbonnia Okoronkwo (1.0 sack, 2.0 TFLs) and Neville Gallimore (0.5 sacks) led the team with nine tackles each.

The Sooners travel to face Baylor on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. CT.
