Press release from the Talihina Chamber of Commerce
Several folks were tired of being cooped up so they came out for a safe night out to play Bingo at the Talihina School’s AG Barn. They enjoyed a night of fun, food, and prizes. The last game was a blackout with the prize being $50.00 in cash. There was room for everyone to spread out and practice social distancing as mandated. Around 25 people came to play bingo. We played 15 games plus we had two drawings for door prizes and a silent auction. Thanks for everyone who supported this event and the workers, and those who donated gifts. They made it possible for us to have the bingo..
We are working towards getting the Visitors Center back open. Not getting to have the Bingo in March and the Mountain Gate Poker Run in April hurt us financially. We plan to have the Mountain Gate Poker Run in September. Please continue to support our events as the visitor’s center is very important to Talihina and the area.
For more information contact the Talihina Chamber of Commerce at our email address, chamber@talihinacc.com. As of now the visitors center is closed.
