According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a fatality collision occurred Oct 4, 2022 at approximately 7:14 am on OK-9A near School House Rd in Arkoma, OK in LeFlore County.
According to the report, a 2008 Pontiac, driven by Marceline Shelton, age 68, of Bokoshe, was southbound on OK-9A failed to negotiate a curve. Departed the roadway to the right and struck a tree. Shelton was pinned for approximately 30 minutes. Extracted by Arkoma Fire Department using the Hurst Tool.
She was transported to Mercy Hospital Fort Smith, AR by LeFlore County EMS with head, leg and trunk internal injuries listed in critical condition.
A passenger, Paul Boyd, 77, of Bokoshe was transported to Mercy Hospital Fort Smith, AR by LeFlore County EMS.He was pronounced deceased at Mercy Hospital with trunk internal and external injuries.
A juvenile passenger, age 5 of Bokoshe was transported by POV to Mercy Hospital Fort Smith, AR with leg injuries.
The accident was Investigated by OHP, assisted by Arkoma Fire Department, LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office and LeFlore County EMS.
