Special Election is Jan. 10 for Poteau Residents who are registered voters.

Poteau Voters who live within the city limits of Poteau will have the opportunity to vote on two different propositions.

Proposition No 1- Shall the position of Chief of Police (also known as the Town Marshall) of the City of Poteau, Oklahoma, be appointed by the City Council of the City of Poteau.

Proposition No 2 – Shall the position of the Street Commissioner of the City of Poteau, Oklahoma, be appointed by the Poteau City Council.
