One arrested for possession of child pornography/sexual abuse material
Fort Smith, AR – The Fort Smith Police Department today announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with the possession of child pornography/sexual abuse material. The suspect, 86-year-old Joe Stephen Brundage, was taken into custody after a concerned citizen alerted FSPD to an old computer gifted by Mr. Brundage. A digital forensics examination of the computer revealed more than 50 images of child sexual abuse material.
Based on the findings, the Fort Smith Police Department obtained and executed a search warrant at Mr. Brundage’s residence. Detectives were able to seize Mr. Brundage’s computer, and a subsequent review at the police department uncovered additional images of child sexual abuse material. Mr. Brundage was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography/Sexual Abuse Material.
