The Board of County Commissioners, LeFlore County, State of Oklahoma, met in a Regular Business Meeting on July 10, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. with Chairman Jamie Oliver presiding. Also present were Vice-Chair Vallard Campbell, Member Cody Covey and County Clerk Kelli Ford.
The following action was taken by the board:
(1.) Chairman Jamie Oliver called meeting to order.
(2.) Motion was made by Cody Covey and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve the minutes of regular meeting held July 3, 2023. Motion was approved all voting yes.
(3.) Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve claims/purchase orders as presented. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
(4.) Bonds. None presented.
(5.) Monthly fee reports: None presented.
(6.) Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve transfer of appropriations in the amount of $45,000.00 from Sheriff’s capital outlay account to Sheriff’s lease and rental account. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
(7.) Motion was made by Cody Covey and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve blanket purchase orders as presented. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
(8.) New business: No discussion.
(9.) Current road and bridge projects: No discussion.
(10.) Contracts labor/service agreements, annual contracts: None presented.
(11.) Burn ban: No discussion.
(12.) Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve Treasurer’s Resale Fund Financial Statement as presented. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
(13.) Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Cody Covey to approve Interagency Point of Presence Antenna Agreement between Oklahoma Department of Public Safety, and the LeFlore Count Health Department, and Commissioners of LeFlore County, Oklahoma regarding facility access in the city of Poteau. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
(14.) Met with Bob Hawley for discussion regarding concerns with LeFlore County Solid Waste Department green box site closures throughout the County. Discussion only.
(15.) Motion was made by Cody Covey and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve deeds from LeFlore County Board of County Commissioners to the town of Panama described as Lots 1-6 Block 75 Panama, Lots 7-12 Block 31 Panama, and part of NE NW NW 15-8-25. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
