The Poteau Chamber of Commerce hosted a Political Forum Lunch and Learn on Friday.
The Executive Director of the Chamber, Karen Wages, welcomed everyone to the event and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Jeff Jensen led the prayer. Following the Pledge, candidates each had approximately 5 minutes to speak.
Harry Tustin and Matt Lamb each introduced themselves to the crowd. Both Candidates are vying for a seat on the Poteau City Council. Don Harmon, Ron LaMar and Brian D Foos are competing for the council seat as well.
Brenda Cockburn, the Democratic incumbent candidate for County Assessor introduced herself to everyone. Her Republican opponent is Gaylon Freeman from Pocola.
Eldon Dugan and Lundy Kiger both from Poteau introduced themselves. Both men are candidates for State Representative District 3.
District 4 State Senate candidates, Republicans Heath Eubanks and incumbent Mark Allen and Democrats Chris Ford and Eddie Martin all spoke as well.
