RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the men’s women’s golfer of the week for the fifth week of the 2024 spring season. Arkansas Tech’s Jackson Cole won on the men’s side while Harding’s Brenda Sanchez claimed the women’s honor.

Cole took home the individual medalist honor at the Hillcat Classic as he shot a 6-under par to win by four strokes. He made six birdies as part of an opening round of 2-under 70. He followed up with three birdies and an eagle in his low round of the event, a 4-under 68. He led the 48-player field in par-4 scoring. The Wonder Boys finished second to host Rogers State.
#theGAC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Brenda Sanchez, Sr., Harding, Celaya, MexicoSanchez collected a two-stroke victory at The Arkansas Collegiate. Entering the final round, she trailed the co-leaders by two strokes, but she overtook the pair by carding a final round 4-over par 76. She made four birdies in her final round. She led the field in both par-4 and par-5 scoring. The Lady Bisons took second in the event to No. 13 Henderson State.
