NORMAN – Sophomore Savannah Barber was selected to the 2024 All-Big 12 Women’s Golf Team, as announced by the league office on Friday.

Barber made the OU lineup in all 14 events and recorded eight top-20 finishes, including four top-5 finishes and medalist honors for the stroke play round of The Match Play at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.

“Savannah had an excellent year, and I am proud of her hard work and dedication,” said Oklahoma head women’s golf coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell. “It was rewarding to see her progress from her first year with the program to last season. Savannah had an excellent sophomore campaign and finished the year as the program leader in scoring average. We are excited to see where her game continues to go.”

The Fort Worth, Texas product recorded 21 par-or-better rounds, tying Kaitlin Milligan (2018-19) for third in program history.

After a successful sophomore campaign, she ranked first in program history for scoring average (71.06) and versus par (-0.48).

Barber’s 2023-24 season was highlighted by her performance at The Match Play at Jimmie Austin, winning the stroke play portion with a 5-under 67, capturing three match victories and propelling the Sooners to their first tournament title since 2018.

She also claimed top-10 finishes at the Westbrook Invitational (T2nd), Hurricane Invitational (T3rd), Jim West Challenge (T4th) and Carmel Cup (T6th).

Barber earned a top-20 finish at the 2024 Big 12 Championship, tying for 17th. She competed in her first NCAA regional and tied for 25th, leading the Sooners in Las Vegas.
