RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the men’s track & field athletes of the week for the fourth week of the outdoor season. Harding’s Caledon Ruwende captured the track award and the Bisons’ Everett Mumme secured the field honor.

Ruwende swept the sprint events at the Bryan Phillips Invitational as he won the 100-meter dash in 10.33 seconds and the 200 in 21.06 seconds. He claimed NCAA Provisional marks in both events. His 100 time ranks 12th in the country while his 200 time places 30th. He ran the third leg of the winning 4×100 relay team that posted a time of 41.49 seconds.

#theGAC MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Everett Mumme, So., Harding, Satellite Beach, Florida
Mumme won the pole vault at the Bryan Phillips Invitational, his third win in the event of the outdoor season. He cleared 5.11 meters, a personal best, as well as an NCAA Provisional mark. He moved into second place on the GAC performance list and fifth on the Division II leaderboard.
