Rep. Eddie Dempsey

OKLAHOMA CITY — Rep. Eddy Dempsey, R-Valliant, today praised the confirmation of Jack Hodge, a second-generation automotive dealer and longtime friend, to the Oklahoma New Motor Vehicle Commission.

Hodge, of Broken Arrow, was confirmed by the full Senate to serve a six-year term on the commission, ending June 30, 2031. The motion to confirm was carried by Sen. Brian Guthrie, R-Broken Bow. Hodge will succeed Jeromey D. Clayton.

Hodge leads operations at James Hodge Auto Group, a family-owned business that has sold cars in Oklahoma since 1969. The company currently operates dealerships across northeastern and southeastern Oklahoma.

“I’ve known Jack Hodge nearly my whole life, and I can say without hesitation that he brings both experience and integrity to this role,” Dempsey said. “His roots in the industry go deep, and he understands what it means to run a business in Oklahoma. The Hodge family has been selling cars here for more than five decades. Jack’s leadership at the James Hodge Auto Group reflects a strong commitment to community, customer service and fair business practices. I’m proud to see someone with his background and work ethic step into this position. He’ll be a real asset to the commission and to Oklahoma’s automotive industry.”

The Oklahoma New Motor Vehicle Commission is responsible for licensing and regulating new motor vehicle dealers, manufacturers and related businesses across the state.
