STS Foundation (www.stsfoundation.org) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing memorable cultural exchanges between young people and American families. We have been designated by the U.S. Department of State since 1986 as an important people-to-people diplomacy program.

 

As representatives of STS Foundation in the Poteau and surrounding areas, we are currently looking for families interested in welcoming foreign exchange students into their homes for the upcoming school year as well as for Spring 2026.

 

We have 31 traditional student applicants, which includes one Spanish Scholarship and two Fall Semester Students. Semester students are here for five months while Academic Year students are here for 10 months, a full school year. You can view student profiles via our website:

If you would like to learn more about STS Foundation and the positive impact exchange students have on the communities that welcome them, please let us know as we are available to provide more information and can put you in touch with students and host families who can share their own experience of our program.

 

Alisha Plummer and Brandie Lovell are both experienced Local Coordinators with STS Foundation. They work as a team and are supportive of one another in the event one of them is unavailable. They are both hosting students of their own as well.
