“It was a total surprise,” Susan P. said of hearing her name called. “I’m still shaking. I feel wonderful, just wonderful.”
After traveling to Antlers to watch her grandkids play football, Susan P. took the family to the Choctaw Labor Day Festival before coming back to Pocola and heading to Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola for the “Million Dollar Summer” drawings.
Susan P., a registered nurse, comes to the resort on a weekly basis, and this is the largest amount she’s ever won. She plans on using the money to purchase a new car and pay off loans.
“Today marks the end of the $100,000 giveaways of our Million Dollar Summer,” said Britta Erickson, regional marketing director for Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola. “It’s been an incredible summer full of fun and wins for our guests, and we’re thrilled to have so many people walk away winners. The first $100,000 winner was James T. from Fort Smith, Ark. followed by Claudia L. from Atkins, Ark.
“Choctaw Pocola is my favorite place to play because it’s close to home,” said James T. “The food is great here, and I am excited I won.”
