Poteau 7th & 8th Grade Center September 2025 SOM and Staff of the Month

Poteau Public Schools’ 7^th & 8^th Grade Center (SEC) has released the September Students and Staff of the Month.

The 7^th grade SOM are Emma Johnson and Tucker Goins. The 8^th grade SOM are Kaelyn Owens and Graham Phillips.

The staff members recognized for September are Mr. D., Mr. Smith, and Ms. Rejeana Zech.

Emma’s parents are Sara Johnson and BJ Johnson. Her electives are Athletics, Choir, and FACS. Emma’s favorite school memory is “when we went on a field trip for academic and gifted and talented. She is a member of Cheerleading and National Junior Honor Society.

Tucker’s parents are Kendra Goins and Taylor Goins. His electives are Athletics, STEM, and Art. Tucker’s favorite school memory is “My first track meet when I got third in the 800-meter race.” He is a member of Gifted & Talented and National Junior Honor Society.

Kaelyn’s parents are Jammie Owens and Elvis Owens. Her electives are Robotics, Library/Office, and STEM. Kaelyn’s favorite school memory is “getting to go to the State conference at Norman with TSA.” She is a member of Library/Office Staff, Gifted & Talented, and National Junior Honor Society.

Graham’s parents are Adam Phillips and Beth Phillips. His electives are Media and Weightlifting. Graham’s favorite school memory is “when our school went to the Lion King play at the high school with the SEC.”
