San Miguel scored multiple goals in her second-straight game as the Rangers defeated East Central, 3-0. She found the back of the net twice in the second half. She scored in the 50th minute on an assist from Jordan Bowie. In the 57th minute, she beat two defenders for the Rangers’ third goal. She has six goals in her last four games.
#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Lauren Hanley, MF, Oklahoma Baptist, So., Wylie, Texas
Hanley stopped a Harding last shot in the final seconds of the Bison 1-0 victory, their first win of the year. She played the full 90 minutes and the defense surrendered six shots on goal. She contributed offensively with an assist on Lex Williamson’s goal. She also played all 90 minutes against Ouachita Baptist, a game in which the Bison allowed only two shots on goal.
#theGAC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – Taylor Annen, GK, Northwestern Oklahoma State, So., Plano, Texas
Annen secured her fifth shutout in eight starts after she made three saves in the Rangers’ 3-0 road victory against East Central. She lowered her goals-against average to a GAC-leading 0.50. Her .905 save percentage ranks 11th in Division II and the five shutouts rank 13th.
