Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
James was born on March 17, 1951, in McCurtain, Oklahoma, to Bertha Leona (Goins) Mayhall and James Franklin Mayhall, and passed away on October 27, 2025, in Roland, Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Mayhall; daughters, Angie Mayhall and Crystal Mayhall; parents; and sisters, Martha Mayhall, Paulette Fisk, and Patricia Mayhall.
James loved watching wrestling, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed scary movies, playing music, and working on mowers. A true sweet tooth, he was known for his love of desserts—and especially bananas, proudly wearing his favorite banana shirt. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was the ultimate “girl dad,” always devoted to caring for his daughters after the loss of their mother.
Survivors include his daughters, Lisa Summers and husband LeRoy, Heather Clark and husband Kevin, and Kendra Mayhall and wife Trisha; sisters, Brenda Mayhall, Dena Mayhall, Becky Bryant, and Bertha Bennett; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Franklin Nixon, Dean Bennett, Mason Mayhall, Aaron Zolliecoffer, Leo Sanders, and Rylan Strickland.
