#theGAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Reese Brown, F, Ouachita Baptist, Jr., Frisco, Texas
Brown helped the Tigers defeat regular-season champion Harding after she recorded a goal and an assist in the 3-1 contest. She gave the Tigers the lead in the sixth minute when she scored her fourth goal of the season. In the second half, less than two minutes after a Harding goal cut the Ouachita lead to 2-1, she assisted on a McKenna Wright goal for the final margin.
#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Julie Andersen, D, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Sr., Middelfart, Denmark
Andersen played the full 90 minutes in the Bulldogs’ 1-0 win against Northwestern Oklahoma State and 69 minutes of their 2-1 win against Oklahoma Baptist. The defense did not give up a goal with Andersen on the field. She assisted on Kayla Abbott’s game-winning goal, her third assist of the season.
#theGAC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – Emma Young, GK, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Fr., Mansfield, Texas
Young notched her fourth shutout of the season after she made two saves in SWOSU’s 1-0 win against Northwestern Oklahoma State. She produced a clean first half of the Bulldogs’ 2-1 win against Oklahoma Baptist with a save. The win clinched the No. 2 seed at the GAC Championships for the Bulldogs. She lowered her goals-against average to 1.11.
