State Representative Tim Turner (R-Kinta)
OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Tim Turner, R-Kinta, and Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, attended the inaugural Big Blue Bash – honoring veterans and law enforcement heroes – at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, FL.
Turner and Walton were invited by Kyle Reyes, a founder of The 1776 Project – which owns Law Enforcement Today, Blue Lives Matter and other media and conservative platforms.
The event raised funds for veteran and law enforcement support initiatives championed by the project. Money earned through sponsorships, ticket sales and donations will provide critical assistance, recognition and resources to the families of fallen officers and veterans in need.
“This event was more than a gala, it was a movement of faith, gratitude and patriotism,” said Turner, a former sheriff who now represents Oklahoma House District 15 in Southeast Oklahoma. “When we ‘back the blue’ and our soldiers, we’re not just supporting a badge or fatigues, we’re supporting a calling, a covenant and the heroes who answer when others cannot.”
The evening brought together distinguished public servants, law enforcement leaders, veterans and patriots from across the United States to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country and communities.
Reyes led the event with a message rooted in unity, gratitude and faith. Reyes emphasized that “God is the ultimate source of our freedom and purpose.” He set the tone for an evening devoted to honoring the “thin blue line,” celebrating the men and women in uniform, and reaffirming faith-driven values in service to the nation.
The program featured tributes to fallen officers and veterans, keynote addresses, prayer and moments of reflection. Attendees included families of the fallen, active-duty officers, veterans’ organizations and supporters from across the public-safety community.

- General Michael Flynn, U.S. Army (ret.) and former national security advisor
- Kristi Noem, secretary of Homeland Security
- Todd Lyons, acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
- Tom Homan, U.S. “border czar” and former acting director of ICE
· Sara Carter — nominated as U.S. “drug czar”
· Terrance Cole — administrator, Drug Enforcement Administration
· Rob Cekada — deputy director, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
· Michael Banks — chief, U.S. Border Patrol
· Mark Glass — commissioner, Florida Department of Law Enforcement
Turner said it was an honor to visit the national event as a representative of Oklahoma and House District 15.
“My service to my district is a privilege, not a right – one founded in God, family, freedom and the Constitution,” Turner said.
Rep. Tim Turner, a Republican, represents House District 15 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. His district includes Haskell County and portions of McIntosh, Muskogee, Le Flore and Pittsburg counties.
