RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC women’s basketball players of the week for the 11th week of the season. Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Kira Bass won the Offensive Player of the Week accolade and Arkansas Tech’s Logan Young claimed the Defensive Player of the Week honor.

#theGAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kira Bass, C, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Sr., Killeen, Texas
Bass scored 22 points in a victory against Henderson State and followed up with a career-high 39 against Ouachita Baptist. She matched her career high for rebounds in a game when she grabbed 15 against the Reddies. She hit 14-of-27 shots against the Tigers. She picked up two steals in both contests.

#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Logan Young, F, Arkansas Tech, Fr., Dover, Arkansas
Young helped the Golden Suns pick up home wins against Southern Nazarene and Oklahoma Baptist. Against the Crimson Storm, she collected two defensive rebounds and a steal as Tech completed its first regular-season sweep of SNU since 2017-18. She grabbed 10 rebounds – nine defensive – as part of a double-double in the overtime victory against the Bison.
