The Poteau Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors presented the Poteau Valley Humane Society with a check for $1020.00.
The money was donated from proceeds of the BBQ Smack Down that was held on September 29 on parking lot of the Reynolds Center in Poteau.
The event was sponsored by OK Foods and the Kiamichi Technology Center.
“On behave of all the volunteers of the LeFlore County Humane Society, I want to thank OK Foods and the Kiamichi Technology Center,” said Elvie Moss. “We are a non-profit, volunteer-based organization and the money will help.”
The Poteau Valley Humane Society is a Non-Profit Organization chartered under the laws of the State of Oklahoma in 1995 and licensed by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture.
